Meet Our Administrative Team

Tina Painter, Business Manager & Chief Financial Officer

Tina was the first staff member to join us, and played a major role in opening and establishing Asfa Plastic Surgery in 2008. Since that time, Tina has proven to be a loyal and invaluable member of our team. She wears many hats for Asfa Plastic Surgery as well as Ziba Medical & Day Spa -- from overseeing human resources, balancing our budgets and running payroll, to scheduling surgeries and working with our numerous product vendors and suppliers.  As a Certified Coding Professional, Tina advocates for our patients by obtaining insurance approvals to ensure that they receive the proper coverage for medical procedures, as well as confirming correct billing codes and transmitting claims for timely billing.

Tina’s friendly demeanor and sense of humor help put our patients at ease, helping us build and grow a loyal patient base and spa clientele. She always puts our patients and spa clients first, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Amy Asfa, VP Marketing & Business Development

Amy is a native of York, PA and graduated from Towson University in Baltimore, MD with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and English. A member of the Public Relations Society of America, Amy is an award-winning marketing and public relations professional who has worked in television and radio production, fundraising, event planning, healthcare marketing and advertising. She and Dr. Asfa met while working at the same hospital in Baltimore, and have been married for nearly 20 years. 

With her decades of healthcare marketing experience, Amy played a key role in launching Asfa Plastic Surgery when Dr. Asfa relocated his practice from Baltimore to Harrisonburg in 2008.  Since then, Amy has continued to work behind the scenes doing marketing, advertising and event planning for the practice. In 2019, Amy began developing plans for Ziba Medical & Day Spa, and oversaw the design and construction of the project from its start in January 2021 to its finish in September 2021.

KRISTA TROFIMOV, Spa Supervisor & Guest Relations Coordinator

Krista grew up in the Philadelphia area and moved to the Shenandoah Valley to attend James Madison University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She fell in love with the slower pace of life and mountain views and never wanted to leave the area. A former special education teacher, Krista is also a personal trainer and enjoys instructing group fitness classes when her schedule allows. She joined our team in January of 2022 as Guest Relations Coordinator, and within a short time was promoted to Spa Supervisor. Krista has a caring, compassionate demeanor and truly enjoys providing a warm, welcoming experience to our spa guests. 



Krista loves hiking, traveling, baking with her daughter and watching her kids compete in sports and perform. Her favorite spa treatments include dermaplaning, Hydrafacials and HaloTherapy. Some of her favorite skincare and beauty products include: Skinbetter Science Alto Defense Serum, Ziba Lip Plumping Treatment and Jane Iredale's Powder Me SPF Dry Sunscreen.
