SAIED ASFA, MD, FACS - Board Certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon

Dr. Saied Asfa is the Medical Director for Ziba Medical & Day Spa as well as his private practice, Asfa Plastic Surgery. Dr. Asfa is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a former board member of the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is renowned in Virginia for his expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery and serves on the committee that writes the in-service exam for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Asfa performs a broad spectrum of plastic and reconstructive procedures and has a special interest in aesthetic cosmetic surgery with emphasis on facial, nasal, breast and abdominal surgery, and performs highly advanced breast and skin cancer reconstruction procedures. He also specializes in surgical and non-surgical body contouring and medical grade skincare, including his own private-label, FDA-registered line of products.

Dr. Asfa opened Asfa Plastic Surgery in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 2008. In 2015, he added aestheticians to his staff and began offering medical spa services, rebranding his practice as Asfa Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa. In 2021, with the increasing demand for aesthetic treatments and products, Dr. Asfa expanded his practice and spa once again by relocating to a larger facility and branching into two separate businesses: his plastic surgery practice and the new Ziba Medical & Day Spa. While there are many spas in the area, Dr. Asfa’s medical spa continues to be the only one in the region that is overseen by a Board-Certified plastic surgeon, ensuring the safest, most beneficial treatments and procedures. This is significant, because while other aesthetics professionals can treat a wide range of cosmetic concerns of the face and body, there are certain situations in which non-surgical medspa treatments cannot achieve a patients’ aesthetic goals, yet cosmetic surgical procedures can.

Having his plastic surgery practice and medical spa under the same roof enables Dr. Asfa and his aesthetics team to collaboratively tailor treatment plans for their patients and spa clients, providing the best possible care and long-lasting results. In addition, patients and spa clients have access to the most advanced surgical and non-surgical anti-aging treatments, body contouring procedures and medical grade skincare products – all in one place. To ensure that our spa clients have the safest experience and the most effective results, Dr. Asfa personally approves our more advanced medical grade spa treatments, including microneedling, laser hair removal, laser vein treatments, chemical peels and medical grade skincare regimens. All injectable treatments such as Botox, Juvederm and Kybella are exclusively administered by Dr. Asfa, so you can rest assured that your face is in highly skilled hands.

Dr. Asfa places a strong emphasis on results that accentuate a person’s natural beauty. He believes that listening to his patient’s desires and maintaining open communication are essential to helping them realize their aesthetic goals with realistic expectations. Dr. Asfa is married to our marketing professional Amy Asfa, and they have two teenage boys. In his spare time Dr. Asfa enjoys spending time in his astronomy lab, which he custom built. He also enjoys flying helicopters and boating at Smith Mountain Lake. His favorite spa treatment is the Ziba Platinum HydraFacial.
